Mahasay Dharam pal Gulati is the CEO of MDH and the oldest at the age of 97. His father Mahasay chunni lal Gulati founded MDH in Pakistan before partition. After the partition in 1947, the family moved back in India in a camp in amritsar. Sometime later Gulati and family moved to Delhi and started spice shop in Karol bagh. Gulati rented shop in chandni chowk and bought land to set up MDH factory in Delhi. He was the Highest paid FMCG CEO in India with 25 Crore Salary in 2018. He donates 90 % of his salary to the banner of the Mahasay chunni lal charitable Trust. It operates a hospital in Delhi Along with a mobile hospital for slums and runs 4 school.
